Your text and files
Everything you type, paste or open in the converter is processed by your own browser. We do not upload, store or see your text or documents. Word files you open are read on your device, and Word or PDF files you create are generated on your device.
What is stored on your device
Your display settings (font, size, spacing, colours, ruler and speech speed) are saved in your browser’s local storage so they are ready next time. Your text is not saved. You can remove the settings at any time with Reset settings or by clearing your browser’s site data.
Read aloud
Read aloud uses your browser’s speech feature. Most voices run on your device. Some browsers offer online voices (for example, voices labelled “Google” or “Online”); if you choose one, your browser’s provider may process the text to create the audio, under its own privacy policy.
Advertising and cookies
This site is free and may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ad Settings, and learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Where required by law, you will be asked for consent before such cookies are used. Advertising never has access to the text you enter in the tool.
Hosting and logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site. We do not run our own analytics or tracking scripts. If we add privacy-friendly, cookieless statistics (such as Cloudflare Web Analytics) in the future, this page will be updated.
Children
The tool can be used by students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
